Cutlet Using Leftover Rice

Ingredients

1 cup of cooked rice. You can use any kind of rice

½ cup of carrot and ½ cup of potato which is cooked with ¼ tsp of turmeric powder, salt and 2 silted green chilies

¼ cup of chopped onion

1 finely chopped green chili

½ tsp ginger garlic paste

Rava as required (for binding and coating)

coriander leaves

salt to taste

¼ tsp garam masala

¼ tsp chilli powder

¼ tsp turmeric powder

Preparation

Heat some oil in a pan and add chopped green chilli and ginger garlic paste into it Next add chopped onion. Fire should be in medium or low flame Add a little salt into the onion. This helps the onion to cook fast Add vegetables and mash it well. Here am using potato masher to mash these vegetables Once it is mashed, then mix it well Add salt according to the taste Next add ¼ tsp turmeric powder ¼ tsp garam masala ¼ tsp chilli powder Mix it well Next add coriander leaves and combine it well Next add 1 cup of cooked rice in the mixing bowl Then add potato carrot into the rice and combine it well if the water content is more add little rava flour into it and combine well Next take small amount of it and make the shape of cutlet Here am using Rava flour for coating. If you like breadcrumbs you can use that instead of rava Next we can shallow fry these cutlets For that heat a pan with oil and add cutlets into the pan once the oil is heated flip both sides and shallow fry the cutlets Now cutlets are ready and we can transfer to a serving plate
